Gun Control In The City of Georgia
The editorial, “City In GeorgiaWould Mandate That Everyone Own A Gun” was published by Rebecca Leber on Mar 6, 2013. The editorial illustrates that the city of Georgia is considering a proposal that “requires every homeowner to own a gun”.  The author in the editorial claims that: why gun should be mandatory? What can be the cause and effect?

The author includes a statement of Nelson City Councilman Duane Cronic saying that “armed residents would deter crime instead”, he also says that it will save time if something happen (crime) in their residence, the person can use the gun to defend themselves instead of waiting for the cops or calling 911. The author also includes the results of surveys and research about owning a gun which shows that methodologically supports the ownership of gun and academically, it says that gun ownership will increase the rates of crimes.
Considering, the evidence in the editorial, I think the argument posed about to not allowing everyone to own gun will work and it is logic. The point is that the city of Georgia is considering a proposal about owning a gun. For example, if the city allows everyone to use a gun, it is to defend themselves from a threat or crime. But, how many of them will only use the gun to defend themselves? It is possible for some person to be unwise which can lead to number of deaths. Therefore, In my opinion, I think that the academic result is valid as their surveys and research proves that more people die from gun homicides in areas with higher rates of gun ownership.
